Audio Technology – Quality – Perception
Between October 30th and November 1st, 2009, the 3rd VDT International Symposium was held at conference centre Schloss Hohenkammer in Bavaria.

With its focus on audio technology, quality and perception, the symposium addressed current matters that have been rapidly gaining importance for
virtually all audio professionals and manufacturers in the face of the profound changes in distribution and marketing of their products. The attention
is more and more directed at the question: In which way does the listener eventually perceive the quality of the products we provide?

Once again, the participants of the three-day International Symposium experienced an intriguing mixture of background information, practical knowledge
and future perspectives. The program covered many important segments and different characteristics of this topic range in the diverse fields of audio and video
production and featured lectures, workshops, round tables and practical demonstrations by internationally renowned experts, presented in German or English.

The established concept of the VDT event offered an especially practical approach as it integrated, in terms of content and location, product-related contributions and
scientific presentations. The „Residential Conference“ idea – participants, company representatives and speakers all work and stay at the same place – facilitated
encounters, sharing of experiences and discussions beyond the official event program, in a pleasant and social atmosphere.
