From November 25-28, 2010, the Tonmeistertagung will once again return to Leipzig. The biennial international professional convention, which also features an exhibition, will now take place in Leipzig for the fourth time. Following an extensive analysis of alternative locations and close discussion with the exhibiting companies, the VDT (Verband Deutscher Tonmeister – German Tonmeister Association) has once again opted for the Congress Center Leipzig. Next to an attractive cost-performance ratio and convenient transport connections, the CCL also provides optimal conditions for integrating professional convention and congress program.

Today the Tonmeistertagung has become a top-class meeting for audio specialists, which not only focuses on the certified professional sound engineer working in music and spoken-word production as target audience. Moreover, the convention also offers valuable perspectives and impulses to audio professionals from many other fields, emphasising on practical information for their every-day work. Next to established fields such as broadcasting, film, video or recording production, this also includes interactive media, distribution and program exchange, stage and event, production of hardware and software, research and development, and education and training. ADMISSION FREE FOR STUDENT VDT MEMBERS!
All student members of the VDT can participate for free in the entire Tonmeistertagung including the lecture program. Students who are not VDT members yet, can even join the association on the spot and thus benefit from this new rule right away. Entrance to the exhibition area (excluding lectures) is free for all other visitors on Sunday, November 28th, starting at 11 AM.
